You could create a schedule or just decide to go in the mornings before work. It’s important that you choose a time that’s best for you and one where you’re more likely to show up. So, if you’re not a morning person – be sure to schedule your gym time for the evenings.

One of the absolute key components of your fitness journey will be your nutrition. After all, food is fuel – and you’ll need a lot of fuel to help you power through your workouts. Research what types of food are best for people when they start their fitness journey. It also wouldn’t hurt to reach out to a nutritionist to help you map out what your body needs.
Nutrition goes hand-in-hand with your progress in the gym. If you’re working out regularly but have a poor diet, you’re not likely to see results. Do your research on what macronutrients and micronutrients are needed with your new lifestyle change.
Stop Comparing Yourself
If you’re scrolling Instagram staring at fitness models hoping to achieve their look, you need to stop that habit before you start your fitness journey. Comparison with others is one of the worst things you can do for yourself when you first start going to the gym.
The only person you want to compare yourself to is you. Take progress pictures every week or so and track your evolution that way. Social media is filled with filters and unrealistic beauty standards. If it helps, take a social media detox for a while.
